Digital FTA (Free-To-Air)
A multisystem TV or special recevier with NTSC output is required.
With digital television well and truely here, there are now 1000's of channels of almost every nationality, ready to be viewed. The vast majority however are Pay Tv channels, and are scrambled/encrypted. You will need a card and cam to view them. So what is left? The Free Channels rely on advertising or are trying to sell you something. Some english channels worth mentioning are: -
BBC 1,2,3,4, World, News, CBeebies, CNN, Sky News, God 1,2, TBN Christian and loads of shopping networks! These channels show very little American programming, it's mainly English.
Lots of foreign channels, especially German, Italian, Spanish, French, Polish, Arabic, etc....A very cheap system to buy, but generally disappointing because of the lack of english speaking programming. If you are looking for CBS, FOX, HBO-type of prgramming...leave this section.
